Duties/Responsibilities:
Under general
supervision, performs a combination of specialized clerical
tasks to support office,
business, or administrative operations at a Section Manager (or equivalent) level
such as: maintaining customer records; receiving, preparing, or
verifying customer documents; searching for, compiling and analysis of
information and data.
Work
activities include: Organizes and maintains any range of computerized or manual
files, records, schedules, inventories, libraries and databases. Back up and
purge systems as required and annotate files. Create reports based on need or
request. Retrieve data in report form as required. Perform routine analyses of
data and format into specified report form as required.
Monitors
and reports on the progress of departmental commitments and suspense items and
report on past due projects as directed and convey project or process
commitment requirements to departmental personnel or others.
Answers,
screens and directs telephone calls and take and relay messages. Serve as
backup / assist in job scheduling and task tracking activities.
Perform in compliance with Federal, State,
local, NASA and Air Force,
laws and regulations and
requirements and KSC/CCAFS environmental sampling, permits, and energy
management conservation regulations, collective bargaining agreements,
security, safety, hurricane and other specialized programs or contractual
requirements.
This
classification may include managing hazardous materials or other environmental
responsibilities.
Qualifications:
High
school education plus some specialized training. Three (3) years’ experience in
clerical routines.
Must
possess working knowledge of record keeping, administrative and clerical
routines and procedures as well as computer operation and keyboard skills.
Must
possess working knowledge of computer operating system, database, spreadsheet,
word processing, graphics, and other common programs.
Must possess
knowledge of specialized terminology or regulations relating to
departmental operations.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
and the ability to read and interpret written information where information includes
precise information and terminology.
Must
possess skilled keyboard operation and ability to operate for sustained periods.

Must

General office environment may require minor lifting and bending.
Complies
with all Company safety policies and site-specific safety procedures.
Participants in and supports the KEMCON safety
program. Ensures safe operating conditions within area of
responsibility. Identifies potential
hazards, concerns, and safety incidents and reports to supervisory personnel.
