PAY RANGE: $40,000-$55,000 annually
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
At GES, Business Development activities are primarily focused on the internal processing of qualification database and submittals while providing some support of externally focused client relations.
The Business Development Assistant assists in identifying and implementing marketing proposal efforts for the company; compiling responses to Requests for Proposals in conjunction with technical staff; assist in identifying and pursuing new markets and prospective clients; and providing positive public relationships through activity in community organizations and professional associations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist, identify and coordinate the marketing proposal efforts for the company
2. Facilitate the creation of RFQ and RFP responses
3. Assist in identifying and pursuing new markets and prospective clients
4. Maintain inventory of marketing material
5. Organize and coordinate client surveys
6. Train staff in CRM management
7. Create and/or direct and publish publish social media and website content, including organizing monthly editorial meetings
8. Event coordination including presentation creation
9. Schedule meetings with clients on behalf of professional staff
10. Provide positive relationships with current and potential clients through activity in community organizations and professional associations
11. Research and track new business opportunities
12. Perform other duties as assigned

The Business Development Assistant will learn and then work within the defined company policies governing assigned duties. Primarily, responsible for document generating activities and other administrative tasks, the Business Development Assistant will back up the Client Relations Team in all roles and tasks. He or she will interact with clients and other professionals appropriately (as generally accepted in the local professional community) in both professional and social settings and establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
