Summary / Objective

The Director of Creative Media and Technology is responsible for overseeing worship production and tech direction, as well as managing communications and digital media for the church. Key qualifications include proficiency in modern worship technology, experience with large-format digital consoles, and expertise in audio mixing and video development. This role involves recruiting and training volunteers, managing technical setups, and enhancing digital platforms, including live streaming and social media engagement. The director will also collaborate with the Communications Team to develop effective messaging strategies, maintain the church website, and ensure high-quality execution of technical operations for all services and events. The Director of Creative Media and Technology will oversee the following key areas:

·       Worship Production and Tech Direction

·       Communications and Digital Media Management

Your Essentials

·       Proficient in modern worship production technology.

·       Experienced with large-format digital consoles (e.g., Allen & Heath Avantis).

·       Strong grasp of signal flow, gain staging, and sound systems.

·       Familiar with DAW-based mixing and Dante Audio Network, handling 10-64 channels as needed for mixing or recording.

·       Proficient in ProPresenter for programming content across services, series, and events.

·       Skilled in Planning Center for scheduling and database management.

·       Ability to identify, recruit, train, and lead volunteers in production roles (audio, video, lighting, stage management, etc.).

·       Experience in managing stage setups and maintaining digital instruments like keyboards and MultiTracks Playback.

·       Knowledge of theatrical, intelligent, LED, and video lighting in worship settings.

·       Capable of integrating technical equipment across various facilities and venues.

·       Proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining technical equipment.

·       Experienced in video development and storytelling for video content.

·       Responsible for website maintenance.

·       Skilled in creating, implementing, and overseeing internal church communications and branding.

·       Curate content for social media and the church website.

Your Impact

·       Manage and enhance our digital platforms, focusing on design, functionality, performance, and content.

·       Expand live streaming services, online video programming, podcasts, social media engagement, and digital advertising.

·       Lead the development of digital analytics and reporting, continuously improving key performance dashboards.

·       Create and manage processes for the Communications Team.

·       Collaborate with the Communications Team to plan and implement effective messaging strategies across social media, graphic design, and video content.

·       Oversee sound and technical operations for weekend worship services, weekday programs, special events, and holiday services.

·       Manage multiple technical and communications projects, ensuring high-quality execution.

·       Develop and mentor volunteers in technical operations, fostering a skilled team.

·       Adapt and grow in technical proficiency to meet the church’s evolving needs.
