Health and Medical Technical Authority (HMTA) activities
and/or revise ASM and clinical specific policies, procedures, work
instructions, checklist, and forms.
the ASM team in planning for launch contingencies
with other offices/agencies
administrative reports/documents/information packages as requested
nursing support in Astronaut Crew Quarters (ACQ) and the Crew exam facility
nursing support to Health Stabilization Program (prelaunch quarantine)
ASM clinical areas and medical documentation
Biomedical Engineering Research Lab activities
Medical Education Program
- Minimum Associate’s Degree
in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- State of Florida licensure
as a Registered Nurse
- Certifications – BLS and ACLS
required; PALS, TNCC or PHTLS preferred
- Three years of critical care
or emergency medicine work experience required
- Flight medicine,
pre-hospital medicine, aerospace medicine, disaster response experience
- Technical writing
- Business software (i.e.
excel, word, power point, share point, and outlook)
- Knowledgeable in human

to work in outdoor environments with high heat indexes, direct sun, and loud
noise on a wildlife refuge.
