Job Title: Associate Youth Minister

Status: Full Time (Exempt)

Supervisor: Youth Minister

Ten Mile Christian’s Mission Statement: Making disciples who worship, learn and serve.

Who We Are: Ten Christian Church is a non-denominational Christian church in the restoration movement founded in 1906. TMC has ministered in Meridian, Idaho from 3 different past locations across 4 weekly service times, to our current location where we have 4 services and a valley-wide reach. TMC wants to see each and every person transformed in Christ. We exist to make disciples who worship, learn, and serve. Our core values that undergird who we are and everything that we do are the present reality of the Lordship of Christ as the real manifestation of God on earth, the unity of believers, and the authority of Scripture as the first and final Word of God. TMC is a disciple-making church with 4 services on Sunday with an average worship attendance of 950. Our Youth Ministry currently averages 80 high schoolers on Tuesdays and 50 middle schoolers between Tuesday nights and 2 Sunday Service options at 10:00 am and 11:30am. We believe in empowering adult small group leaders to be the primary point of connection with students on our Youth nights.

Position Purpose:

To provide spiritual leadership for TMC’s Youth Ministries, recognizing that it is not just students who will grow and benefit from such leadership, but also the adults who serve within this ministry and the parents/families who share in the development of our students. This spiritual leadership will involve creativity, fun, and solid Biblical Truths.  When we reach a student with the saving knowledge of Christ, we rejoice with that one student, potentially reach a family, and perhaps help shape a community for God’s glory. Youth Ministry is valued as a crucial part of our church body embracing our mission statement in “making disciples who worship, learn and serve”. We aim to help create and nurture a ministry where ALL teens are welcome and find a place to belong!
