Position Title: Business Development Manager (MSP)

Position Class: Exempt

Summary:

Under general supervision, is responsible for securing and nurturing client relationships, and meeting revenue generation goals. The Business Development Manager will monitor and manage key sales performance metrics. The individual will also apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help support the development process. The individual will collaborate with members of the sales, operations, and technical services teams in delivering a superior client experience.


Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development:

    • Prospect and qualify leads for new MSP and managed product clients.

    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed assigned quotas.

    • Conduct needs assessments and identify IT pain points for potential clients.

    • Deliver compelling presentations that showcase the value proposition of our MSP services.

    • Negotiate and close profitable sales contracts.

  • Account Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients.

    • Identify opportunities for "add-on" sales and service renewals.

    • Ensure client satisfaction through proactive communication and service delivery.

    • Work collaboratively with the engineering team to scope projects and propose solutions.

  • Marketing and Events:

    • Participate in trade shows, networking events, and product training to generate leads.

    • Follow up on qualified leads and convert them into sales opportunities.

    • Collaborate with the marketing team on initiatives to promote our MSP offerings.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quota targets in a B2B environment.

  • 5+ years of experience selling technology solutions, preferably managed services.

  • Strong understanding of the IT landscape and managed service offerings.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to build trust and rapport with clients at all levels.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Active Cisco, EMC, and/or VMware certifications are a plus.

Required:  Position may require travel within the Metropolitan area; thus, reliable transportation is required.


Other

Regular attendance is required.  Additional hours including weekends may be required on a regular basis to fulfill duties of position. At times, individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to handle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.  Some travel may be required for the purpose of client meetings, new clients, and client engagement.
